This Privacy Policy describes how Development Technologies Hub LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), a Utah limited liability company, collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Serenity Book platform ("Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Who This Policy Covers
This policy applies to two groups of people:
- Tenants — businesses and individuals who subscribe to Serenity Book to manage their appointments, availability, and customers.
- End Customers — people who book appointments through a Tenant's booking page hosted on the Service.
Tenants act as independent data controllers for the personal information they collect about their End Customers. We process that data on their behalf as a service provider.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Tenant account data — name, business name, email address, password, and billing information collected during sign-up and account management.
- End Customer booking data — first name, last name, email address, and/or phone number submitted when booking an appointment.
- Communications — messages you send us via email or contact forms.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Log data — IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, time and date of access, and referring URLs.
- Device information — operating system, device type, and screen resolution.
- Cookies and similar technologies — session cookies used to keep you logged in and maintain booking flow state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2.3 Payment Information
Tenant subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers or bank account details on our servers. Stripe's handling of payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
End Customer payments are collected directly by the Tenant (in person). We do not process or store End Customer payment information.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service;
- Process Tenant subscriptions and send billing-related communications;
- Send appointment confirmation, reminder, and cancellation emails on behalf of Tenants;
- Respond to support requests and inquiries;
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information to third parties. We do not use End Customer booking data for our own marketing purposes.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers — we share data with vendors who help us operate the Service, including Stripe (payment processing) and SendGrid (transactional email). These providers are contractually required to protect your data and may only use it to perform services for us.
- Tenants — End Customer booking information is visible to and controlled by the Tenant whose booking page was used.
- Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — if the Company is acquired or merges with another entity, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain Tenant account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After account closure, we retain data for up to 90 days before deletion, unless a longer period is required by law.
End Customer booking records are retained for as long as the associated Tenant's account is active. Tenants may delete customer records at any time from their admin console.
6. Cookies
We use session cookies solely to maintain login state and store booking flow selections (such as date, time, and service choice). These cookies are deleted when your browser session ends. We do not use persistent tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, but doing so may prevent the booking flow from functioning correctly.
7. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. These include encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@serenitybook.net. We will respond within a reasonable time.
End Customers: requests to access or delete booking data should be directed to the Tenant whose booking page you used. We will assist Tenants in responding to such requests as required by applicable law.
Unsubscribe: you may opt out of non-transactional emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any such email or contacting us directly. Transactional emails (such as booking confirmations) cannot be disabled while your account or booking is active.
10. Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.
11. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Service or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
